Cabin Fever

Oh, I have the bug of Spring. I know that it is the middle of January, or as NPR commentator Laura Lorson stated in Winter Weariness a Sure Sign of JanuFeb - it is "JanuFeb" - one of the most depressing times of year... but with the glimpse of the sun, I really would like to start planting flowers.

I think what is pushing my spring fever are the thoughts of heading to Marin, California for the American Indian Art show and completing the cataloguing portion for the sale. By late February, it is practically spring in San Francisco - clean, crisp air -the opportunity to walk outside without the wind biting off your nose and the chance to wear short sleeves. And hey - that means the sale is almost here which means Spring is just around the corner!

And Another Year Begins...

The holidays are over, all the leftovers are gone, and the heavy winter sky has set in. And so, nestled in at our desks we sit and work like busy little bees...

Tomorrow another auction hits - 19th and 20th century decorative arts. The sales room looks like a cozy living room with Handel lamps, oriental rugs, and furniture set all around - although some of the furniture does not look like ones I would want to snuggle up and watch TV in - still some pretty neat stuff. During the two day preview - many visitors have stopped by to see the wares. It looks like it will be a great sale.

On the Indian front - I have been cataloguing away and wrapping up on the consignment end. On Tuesday I will be picking up some pretty fantastic pieces that can't WAIT to give you a sneak peek of. A couple great Navajo rugs and one fantastic Northwest Coast carving. WOOO!

Until later,
